Platerio vs Menumigo

Platerio and Menumigo both build digital QR code menus from the menu a restaurant already has. Menumigo has a generous free plan, published prices and marketing features; Platerio focuses on translation into up to 30 languages, owner-confirmed allergens and an AI assistant that does not make things up. Here are the differences, from what each company publishes.

Updated October 2026

Menumigo, according to its website

From Menumigo’s llms.txt file, checked in October 2026:

  • Free plan with no time limit: 1 restaurant, unlimited dishes, 1 QR code, 2 languages (from 20+ available), AI import 5 times a month, AI translation 10 times a month, 14 allergens. Shows “Powered by Menumigo” on the menu.
  • Pro plan: €19 a month or €15 a month billed yearly, 1 venue included (€9 per extra venue), up to 6 languages, unlimited AI, analytics, loyalty cards, bundles, review and social buttons, no Menumigo branding.
  • 7 days of Pro free for every new restaurant.

Platerio

  • Free plan: 1 venue, up to 60 dishes, 2 menu languages, 100 AI credits a month. Pro: up to 300 dishes, up to 30 languages, AI assistant for guests. Growth: up to 5 venues and 2,000 dishes, 3D dishes. Pro and Growth prices are not published yet.
  • Menu import from PDF, photo, Excel or CSV, text or a website link. The AI organises, the owner reviews; unreadable prices are left blank.
  • Automatic menu translation into up to 30 languages, from any of them, keeping original dish names with an explanation for visitors.
  • The 14 EU allergens, shown only after the owner confirms them.
  • AI assistant for guests (paid plans) that answers only from what is on the menu.
  • No ordering or payment at the table.

Where Menumigo is stronger

Unlimited dishes on the free plan. Published prices. Loyalty, bundles and review buttons, which Platerio does not have. If what you want is marketing and customer loyalty, Menumigo has more tools.

Where Platerio is stronger

European Portuguese first: the menu, the dashboard and the dish explanations are written in Portuguese from Portugal, not translated from English. Import from spreadsheets, text or a website, as well as PDFs and photos. Allergens never show to guests without the owner’s confirmation, and prices the AI cannot read are left blank instead of guessed.

The AI assistant for guests answers only from what is on the menu — it does not invent dishes, prices or ingredients. See how we handle Portuguese dishes and translation for visitors.
